The DNT Optics TNC4K219R ThermNight 4K combines thermal imaging, 4K digital day and night vision, laser rangefinding and the DNT Ballistic Engine in one multispectral scope. The two imaging channels support rapid heat detection and detailed visual identification as light and viewing conditions change.
The thermal channel uses an uncooled 256 x 192 detector with a 12 micrometre pixel pitch, 40 fps frame rate and NETD of 18 mK or less. A 19 mm thermal objective, 2x base magnification and 9.2 x 6.9 degree field of view provide broad scene coverage for close-to-mid-range scanning. Selectable thermal magnification extends from 2x to 8x.
The digital channel is built around a 3840 x 2160 CMOS sensor operating at 30 fps with a 50 mm f/1.8 objective lens. Its 3x base magnification extends to 24x through selectable magnification levels, while the 8.8 x 4.9 degree digital field of view keeps the surrounding scene visible. The integrated 850 nm infrared illuminator supports low-light viewing at distances of up to 450 yd.
The built-in laser rangefinder measures from 5 to 2100 yd. Measured distance data works with the DNT Ballistic Engine to provide real-time ballistic solutions. Ballistic profiles can be synchronised through the DNT App and selected directly on the device.
Zero the digital channel once and the thermal view automatically follows the same alignment. This removes the need to complete a separate thermal-channel zeroing process and keeps setup focused on one primary adjustment workflow.
Thermal Zoom Lock keeps the thermal image at base magnification to preserve a wider field of view while the digital channel magnifies for closer inspection. This allows broad thermal awareness and detailed digital viewing to be used together without narrowing both channels at the same time.
A 0.49-inch Micro-OLED display presents a 1920 x 1080 image at 60 Hz, with 65 mm eye relief. The scope includes 64 GB of built-in storage for recordings and connects by Wi-Fi to the DNT App. App functions include ballistic-profile synchronisation, live-view streaming and recording management.
Power comes from a rechargeable 21700 flat-top lithium-ion battery with a stated operating time of 5 hours 45 minutes. A 5 V USB-C external power input is supported. The housing is rated IP67 and specified for operation from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius. It is recoil rated to 800 Gs and .50 BMG. Net weight is 737 g and dimensions are 196 x 82 x 78 mm.
