850nm Infrared Illumination for Digital Night Vision
The PARD InfraX 850nm IR illuminator is a dedicated 5 W VCSEL/LED infrared light for digital night vision. It adds 850 nm illumination in low-light and dark conditions, giving a compatible night vision sensor an external source of infrared light.
The InfraX is an accessory rather than a standalone viewing device. It is designed to work as part of a digital night vision setup where additional infrared illumination is required.
5 W VCSEL Output with a 350-Metre IR Range
The 5 W emitter provides up to 350 metres of rated infrared illumination. Its VCSEL/LED configuration and all-glass multi-coated lens are designed to deliver an even beam for the host night vision sensor.
PARD positions 850 nm for stronger visibility, while a separate 940 nm version is available for users who prioritise a more discreet wavelength. This listing is for the 850 nm InfraX model only.
Three IR Levels and Bluetooth Control
Three output levels let you select the required infrared intensity for the scene. With the InfraX switched on, double-press the power button to move between levels; the indicator flashes once, twice or three times to show the selected setting.
Bluetooth control allows the IR level to be adjusted through compatible Bluetooth-enabled PARD night vision equipment after pairing. This keeps illumination control within the connected PARD setup.
Detachable, Direction-Adjustable Light Head
The infrared light head can be detached when it is not required. To remove it, hold the lock and rotate the head anticlockwise; align the head and rotate it clockwise to attach it again.
The light direction can be aligned with the host optic. Loosen the head, adjust its position and tighten it securely before use. A mount and three Allen wrenches are included for setup.
IP67 Aluminium Housing and 18650 Power
The aluminium-alloy housing is rated IP67, helping protect the 850nm IR illuminator against dust and water during outdoor use. The compact accessory format keeps the infrared source separate from the host night vision device.
Power comes from one rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery, which is included. Rated operating time is up to 6 hours. Insert the battery with the correct polarity and tighten the battery-compartment cap before switching the unit on.

Setup, Use and Care
- Fit the supplied mount securely to the compatible night vision setup before use.
- Unscrew the battery-compartment cap, remove the insulating tape and insert the supplied 18650 battery with the correct polarity.
- Press the power button once to switch the InfraX on or off.
- While powered on, double-press the button to cycle through IR levels 1, 2 and 3; the indicator flashes to show the active level.
- For Bluetooth control, switch on the InfraX and enable Bluetooth on the compatible PARD night vision device. Wait for the device's Bluetooth icon to turn green before adjusting the IR level.
- To align the light direction, loosen the light head, adjust its position and tighten it again.
- Avoid staring directly into the infrared fill light at close range.
- Switch the illuminator off after use. Remove the battery if the product will not be used for more than 10 days.
- Store in a cool, dry and ventilated place between -30°C and 55°C. Charge only between 0°C and 45°C.
- Do not disassemble the illuminator without authorisation.
