DJI Neo 2 is a lightweight camera drone designed for hands-free aerial capture, everyday vlogging and active moments. Palm take-off and landing, gesture control, SelfieShot and ActiveTrack make it easy to record solo clips, group moments, runs, rides and travel scenes without beginning every flight at a conventional remote controller.

This Drone Only version supplies the aircraft, one battery and the listed essential accessories. It can be operated through supported palm, gesture, mobile-app and mobile voice-control methods. Compatible remote-control, digital-transmission and immersive-flight accessories are available separately.

Hands-Free Control and Intelligent Tracking

With the aircraft facing the user, the side control supports palm take-off, while Return to Palm provides a direct landing option. Gesture control allows direction and proximity adjustments with one or both hands, and the DJI Fly app provides virtual joystick control from a compatible mobile device.

ActiveTrack follows subjects at a stated maximum tracking speed of 12 m/s and supports multiple tracking directions. SelfieShot can frame waist-up, full-body and long shots, while Dolly Zoom, MasterShots and QuickShots provide additional automated camera movements for varied content.

4K Imaging with Two-Axis Stabilisation

The 12 MP, 1/2-inch CMOS sensor and f/2.2 aperture record 4K video at up to 60fps, 4K slow motion at up to 100fps and 2.7K vertical video. A two-axis mechanical gimbal works with electronic image stabilisation to steady footage while retaining a compact aircraft design.

Portrait optimisation adjusts brightness, contrast and skin-tone rendering for people-focused footage. Vertical recording supports mobile-first content without requiring the final video to be cropped from a horizontal frame.

Obstacle Sensing and Flight Awareness

An omnidirectional monocular vision system combines with forward-facing LiDAR and a downward infrared sensing system to detect obstacles during supported operations. Full-coverage propeller guards add physical protection around the propellers for more approachable everyday use.

Obstacle sensing is a flight-assistance feature and does not replace pilot judgement or control. Performance varies with lighting, surface conditions, altitude, flight mode and the surrounding environment. Always monitor the aircraft, DJI Fly warnings and local flight conditions.

Internal Storage, Transfer and Battery

Neo 2 includes 49 GB of internal storage and does not accept a microSD card. QuickTransfer supports file-transfer speeds of up to 80 MB/s, and the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable can be used for charging and wired data transfer with compatible equipment.

Maximum flight time is stated as approximately 19 minutes under test conditions, or about 17 minutes when propeller guards are installed. Actual flight time varies with configuration, flight mode, wind, temperature, battery condition and operating behaviour.
