The DISCOVERYOPT ED-AR 1-6x24IR FFP-MIL is a low-power variable rifle scope built around a first focal plane MIL reticle. Its 1x to 6x magnification range provides a broad low-power view at the bottom of the range and a more detailed magnified view at 6x.
The reticle changes apparent size with magnification, so its subtensions remain proportional throughout the zoom range. This keeps the MIL references consistent as magnification changes.
Red reticle illumination offers six brightness settings and uses a CR2032 battery. The scope is built on a 30 mm main tube and uses capped turrets.
For the FFP-MIL variant, each click equals 0.1 MRAD. The manufacturer specifies 35 MIL of elevation adjustment and 19.5 MIL of windage adjustment.
Field of view is stated as 132.3 ft at 1x and 20.5 ft at 6x per 100 yards, equivalent to 40.3 m to 6.2 m. Exit pupil ranges from 13.5 mm to 3.9 mm.
Eye relief ranges from 4.1 in to 3.3 in, equivalent to 10.3 cm to 8.5 cm. Parallax is set at 100 yards. Establish a clear, comfortable sight picture before fine adjustment.
The scope carries an IP67 waterproof rating and is nitrogen purged for fog resistance. DISCOVERYOPT also states a .50 BMG recoil rating for this model.
Correct installation, closed protective covers and routine optical care remain important for reliable use.
DISCOVERYOPT lists the ED series under its lifetime warranty. The warranty covers repair or replacement for a product that breaks or malfunctions, subject to the manufacturer's exclusions and claim process.
Registration and proof of purchase are not required according to the manufacturer. Loss, theft, intentional damage and cosmetic damage that does not affect performance are excluded.
